Why September is the month to start
Sculptra works on your body's own timeline. Collagen builds over 8–12 weeks, so what you do in September is what you see in December — the holidays, the photos, the family. Start later, and you're waiting until spring.
What Sculptra does — and what it doesn't
It does
- Restore lost volume in the mid-face, temples, jawline and lower face
- Improve skin firmness and quality as your collagen rebuilds
- Deliver gradual, natural-looking results that last up to two years
- Work well for people who don't want a "filled" look
It doesn't
- Give an instant result — that's what filler is for, and we'll tell you if filler is the better fit
- Treat lips or fine lines directly
- Work in one session for most people — a series of two to three, spaced about a month apart, is typical
What to expect
- Consultation (complimentary, 20 minutes). Samah assesses your face, your goals and your timeline, and tells you plainly whether Sculptra is the right tool — or whether something else would serve you better.
- Treatment (about 45 minutes). Numbing first. Sculptra is placed deep beneath the skin in the areas you've agreed on. Most people describe it as pressure, not pain.
- The five-day rule. You'll massage the treated areas five minutes, five times a day, for five days. It matters — it's how the product distributes evenly.
- Follow-up sessions. Usually one or two more, about four weeks apart. Your consult sets the plan and the price before anything starts.
- Results. Gradual improvement from around week 6, full effect at three to four months, lasting up to two years.

Questions people ask
How much does Sculptra cost?
Pricing is per vial and depends on how many areas you're treating and how much volume you've lost. Your consultation sets the exact plan and price before anything begins — no surprises. Most people need two to three sessions.
Does it hurt?
We numb first. Most clients describe pressure rather than pain, and are back to normal activities the same day.
Is there downtime?
Mild swelling or tenderness for a day or two is normal. Bruising is possible. Plan treatment at least two weeks before an event.
How is it different from filler?
Filler adds volume immediately and lasts 6–18 months. Sculptra builds your own collagen gradually and lasts up to two years. Some people are better candidates for one, some for both — that's what the consult is for.
Who shouldn't have Sculptra?
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection in the area, or a history of keloid scarring. Samah reviews your history at the consult.
