Dermaplaning in Plano, TX

A blade, not a machine. Dermaplaning manually sweeps away the top layer of dead skin and the fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) that catches light and product. Nothing is injected, nothing is heated — you walk out smoother, with makeup that sits differently the same day.

Performed by Samah Haroof, a certified Master Injector. Serving Plano, Frisco, McKinney and North Dallas.

Why clients book it

Immediate smoothness, zero downtime

Instant texture change

Skin feels and looks smoother the moment you leave — there is no swelling or healing phase to wait through.

Makeup applies differently

Without peach fuzz in the way, foundation sits flatter and photographs cleaner. A popular pre-event treatment for exactly this reason.

Better product absorption

Removing the dead surface layer lets serums and moisturizers penetrate more effectively for a week or two afterward.

Pairs well with other facials

Often combined with a hydrating or brightening facial in the same visit, since the skin is freshly exfoliated and more receptive.

Questions we get

Dermaplaning FAQs

Does the hair grow back thicker or darker?

No — this is a persistent myth. Vellus hair (peach fuzz) has a fine, tapered tip. Shaving or blading it off cuts the tip flat, which can make regrowth feel slightly coarser to the touch for a few days, but it does not change the hair’s thickness, color, or density.

How is this different from microdermabrasion?

Dermaplaning uses a surgical blade in a manual sweeping motion and also removes fine hair. Microdermabrasion uses an abrasive tip or crystals to exfoliate but doesn’t remove hair. Some clients alternate between the two.

Is there any downtime?

None. Skin may look slightly pink for an hour or two afterward, but most clients go straight back to their day.

How often should I get it done?

Roughly every four weeks lines up with the skin’s natural renewal cycle, though many clients book it around events rather than on a strict schedule.
